Explore the World Beyond Our Borders

Care to kick your RVing up a notch? Consider indulging your passion by traveling overseas!
Nope, it won’t be scary if you’re ready to ramble with an experienced tour company that will prearrange rigs, campsites and all the best places to visit. And when you opt for overseas, you’ll encounter scenery, people and even wildlife not found within our own borders.
Take South Africa, a country bursting with a diversity of cultures and landscapes. If your wanderlust takes you there, you will likely capture (on camera only during these photo safaris) the ‘Big Five’ – African elephant, rhinoceros, African lion, Cape buffalo and African leopard that dot multiple game preserves. But there is a lot more to see on this exotic road trip. Meet Zulu people and experience their culture; view the staggering beauty of coastlines and savannahs; tip a glass of local vino at a South African wine-tasting social.
Head north to the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe to gaze at one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls. You’ll find out why the indigenous Lozi people call it Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "The Smoke That Thunders.” This watery spectacle is roughly twice the height of North America's Niagara Falls and well over twice the width of its Horseshoe Falls.
Safety is, of course, always a priority issue. You’ll be driving on the left side of the road in a right-hand vehicle. But road infrastructure is excellent as highways are paved, wide and well patrolled. Signage is ample and in pictorial or English. Take note: most roads lack fencing, so be on guard for animals wondering about.
Maybe you’ve got your eyes on New Zealand and Australia. You’re in luck, mate. There’s no better way to see these two countries than by guided caravan. We’re talking a collage of mountains, ocean and geology. Like in South Africa, drivers in New Zealand navigate on the left side of the road in a right-hand vehicle. Might take a few miles to get used to, but once you do, this stunning destination is yours for the taking. Spectacular coastlines, thermal waters, indigenous cultures and the Southern Alps will all help you fall in love with Kiwi country.
Australia, “The Land Down Under,” promises more head-spinning experiences with no chance of becoming bored. Meet the most unique wildlife in the world and meander through unbelievable landscapes. Here’s your chance to don your snorkel and swim with sea creatures in the Great Barrier Reef. If getting wet isn’t your idea of fun, you can still explore the top of this natural wonder aboard a catamaran. Dry off and head south for a tour of the Sydney Opera House, a multi-venue performing arts center at Sydney Harbor. Opt for an excursion to the Outback to meet Aboriginal people and explore the massive, 550-million-year-old sandstone monolith, Ayers Rock.
The term Scandinavia covers the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. But a Scandinavia excursion with Fantasy RV Tours will also take you to Germany and Finland. From thatched roofs and flat farmlands to magnificent rugged fjords, this unique motorhome trek offers a rare opportunity to experience culture, charm and awe-inspiring scenery. Cruise the archipelago of islands that dot the Baltic Sea off of Stockholm and visit the home of famed storyteller Hans Christian Andersen. In Oslo, see the ships that carried the Vikings on their far-flung voyages of conquest. The roads are good, the scenery is spectacular, the natives are friendly and the food is great!
